What is strategy?

The word strategy derives from the word strategos which is a Greek word. Strategos also derives from two words stratos(army) and ago(leading). In the age of Athenian Democracy the word strategos referred to military commander. The word strategy actually comes from military. The definition of strategy which is related with military science is that strategy is a branch of military science dealing with command, planning and conduct of a war. The most simple definition of the strategy is that strategy is a systematic plan to accomplish a special aim or result. However strategies generally design for long term aims. In game theory strategy is a complete plan for all situations in the game or business. Strategy fully determines the player’s behavior. A player’s strategy determines all actions of player for any stages of the game. As a result strategy is a long term systematic plan which is not well-detailed.

What does paradigm mean?

Thomas Kuhn defined paradigm as what is to be observed and scrutinized. But it is the scientific definition of paradigm. It can also be defined as a set of assumptions , concepts, values, and practices constituting a view of reality.I think that is a beter definition for paradigm. Paradigm also can be assessed as a model of something. So paradigm has not got a certain definition. There are lots of different definition for paradigm. As a result everything ,which we used for constituting a view of reality, is a paradigm.

What does hypothesis mean?

Generally hypothesis is a well-tested explanation. But it is not the same as theory. A hypothesis also is a proposal intended explain certain facts or observations. A hypothesis has aim of verify something scientificly too. A hypothesis should be base on a theory but it must be more tested than a theory. The word theory has many different meanings in different branches. The meaning of theory depends on the methodology of these branches.
